On Wednesday March 28th, we attended the first ever housing fair for the University of Illinois since COVID-19 started a year ago. Things were a little different this year with the new location at the YMCA and all the precautions, but it was all worth it to see everyone’s smiling eyes.
When we found out that we would be having a housing fair only two weeks before it happened, we knew we needed to show students just how much we missed them! Students came running in at 3 p.m. to see what they could win and to learn all about what we have to offer. From the amazing rates, t-shirts and table display, we were the table to check out! We were able to meet over 160 U of I students and everyone who stopped by had the chance to enter to win a Yeti Tundra stuffed with summer essentials. Everyone walked away a winner that afternoon with a free Retreat Illinois t-shirt!
Housing fairs are one of the biggest ways for us to connect with students on campus, and with how much feedback we received from everyone who stopped by, the event was a total success!
